WAES

Western Alliance Emergency Services provides Basic Life Support Services (BLS) and Advanced Life Support Services (ALS) - This is a crew made up of Drivers, First Responders and EMTs. BLS provides basic life support care such as controlling bleeding, bandaging, administering oxygen, assisting the patient with the administration of approved medications, Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) and continued care until ALS arrives with the advanced care. The Advanced Life Support Services (ALS) crew is made up of an EMT and a Paramedic. ALS care is first BLS care then cardiac monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, Intravenous lines, administering life saving medications and advanced airway techniques.

Wheelchair Transportation: Western Alliance Emergency Services provides Wheelchair transport to individuals who need transportation to Doctor appointments, Dentist appointments, return trips home, from one medical facility to another and more. Non-Emergency Stretcher Transportation: Western Alliance Emergency Services provides Non-Emergency stretcher transportation to patients who are not able to sit or ride in a car or wheelchair. This condition may be due to a Fracture, Stroke or any other illness. Short notice, no problem. Western Alliance offers a variety of non-emergent transportation needs including: Community Functions, Funerals, Weddings, Doctor's Appointments, Hospital & Care Facilities, Grocery Shopping, and Family Gatherings.

Community Services: Western Alliance Emergency Services provides Community Services such as CPR classes, First-Aid classes, Blood Pressure screenings, EMS education and Stand-by for Community Events. If you have an event or are in need of EMS or community education, feel free to contact our business office!

Western Alliance Emergency Services Incorporated (WAES) was founded in January of 1999 as a result of the collaborative combining of the former Canton Ambulance Association and Troy Ambulance Association. WAES is a non-profit organization made up of paid Paramedics, paid and volunteer EMT's, First Responder's and Driver's. The organization is funded by service billing, memorial donations, grants and service subscriptions.

WAES provides Advanced and Basic Life Support services to all or part of Bradford, Tioga, Sullivan and Lycoming counties in Northeastern, Pennsylvania. Municipalities served include; Alba Borough, Armenia Township, Burlington Borough, Burlinton Township, Canton Borough, Canton Township, Columbia Township, Elkland Township, Forks Township, Fox Township, Franklin Township, Granville Township, LeRoy Township, McIntyre Township, McNett Township, Springfield Township, Sylvania Borough, Troy Borough, Troy Township, Union Township, Ward Township, and West Burlington Township. The coverage area is over 350 square miles with approximately 2,200 calls annually. Western Alliance Emergency Services has a fleet of 7 ambulances with one being a 4X4 for severe weather conditions. In addition, we also have a specialized Rehabilitation / Search and Rescue truck.
